BIG NEWS FOR THE 2026-2027 SEASON
The DAHA Squirt program is in it's 5th season as an all city level.
REC LEAGUE OPTION!
We are in the final planning stages of adding a rec league for the upcoming season. This league will be focused on development and giving kids who aren't wanting to commit to the travel schedule a chance to still participate int he sport. The program will start on Nov. 1st and end on Feb. 21st. It will consist of 1 practice a week, on Wednesday, and 1 game a week, on Sunday. Practices will be held at one of our outdoor rinks and games be held at Fryberger Arena.
Ages
Ages 9 - 11 (boys and girls)
When
The season begins in September with skills sessions, then moves into player evaluations and wraps up in March.
Where
Squirts typically practice indoors but once the weather is cold enough some teams will opt to skate outdoors to help cut down on costs.
Practices
Teams are given 3 ice times a week, Monday - Thursday, these practice times are most often shared with another team. There is the option to add practices before school, on weekends or if there is open ice during the week.
Games
League games will be dependent on the number of other teams in each level.
Non league games will be added throughout the season.
Each team will also participate in 4 tournaments.
Jerseys
Jerseys will be distributed by your coach or team manager.
Extra Costs
Squirt A and B1 teams will be given a monthly assessment to help with the additional costs of ice, refs, tournaments, league fees.
Squirt B2 teams will be required to volunteer at the 3 home squirt tournaments. The money made at these tournaments is used to cover the cost of their indoor ice.
