Glen Avon
Glen Avon is part of a proud and enduring legacy in the city of Duluth, Minnesota with the last outdoor neighborhood hockey association in the United States. It serves the Glen Avon and Congdon neighborhoods in Duluth.
Established in 1947, Glen Avon's Pee Wee team won National titles in 1951, 1952 and 1958. In addition to producing many players who have advanced to a high level of play, Glen Avon has provided a place for thousands of neighborhood kids and families to learn to skate and participate in the game of hockey. Today the Ice Mites, Mite 1's, and Mite 2's develop their skills at outdoor practices and games.
